Frank continued: “We send our heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones, friends, and family, especially her daughters Cassidy and Lacey.”

Fans and friends were quick to comment on the sad news and send their condolences: “I am heartbroken to hear this news. One of the kindest people I have ever met. My deepest condolences to her family, friends and fans.”

Another wrote: “No words but I’ll say this, Bobbie Spencer was my top 5 favorite characters on GH. One of the most important actresses in GH History. My prayers are with Jackie’s family especially her daughters costars and former costars during this difficult time. RIP Jackie Zeman.”

A heartfelt message was also released by ABC Entertainment and General Hospital, paying tribute to the soap star.

The statement read: “Jacklyn Zeman has been a beloved member of the General Hospital and ABC family since she originated the iconic role of Bobbie Spencer over 45 years ago. She leaves behind a lasting legacy for her Emmy-nominated portrayal of the bad girl turned heroine and will always be remembered for her kind heart and radiant spirit.”

The statement continued: “We are devastated by the news of her passing, and send our deepest condolences to Jackie’s family, friends and loved ones.”

The soap star had an impressive career, from training for classical ballet at just five years old to studying dance at New York University.

Before starting her successful acting career, Jacklyn also served as a

Playboy Bunny

in a Playboy Club in 1972.

The soap star landed her first major soap role in 1976 on One Life to Live before landing the iconic role of Bobbie Spencer on General Hospital the following year.

The talented actress’ portrayal of Bobbie Spencer led to four Daytime Emmy nominations, including three supporting nominations, and one lead actress role.

Jacklyn Zeman is survived by daughters Cassidy Zee Gorden and Lacey Rose Gorden.
