Zara McDermott has revealed she’s been left in tears by her Strictly Come Dancing partner Graziano Di Prima, following their emotional exit from the show at the weekend.
Given that she had already been in the dreaded dance-off twice, the writing was pretty much on the wall for former Love Island star Zara as she and Strictly pro Graziano took to the dancefloor on Saturday night to perform a Charleston for Halloween Week. While the pair seemed happy with how things went, the judges were less than glowing with their feedback and scores, with Zara and Graziano once again falling short of the magic 30 mark and getting 25 out of 40 for their routine.
Sadly that wasn’t enough to keep them out of the bottom two for a third time and, having danced again, they were eliminated from the competition, in favour of Adam Thomas and Lubu Mushtuk, who had to dance-off for the first time to keep their place in the new series.

Zara was tearful as her Strictly exit was sealed and, taking to Instagram she’s since admitted she’s been crying over what Giovanni said to her in the aftermath. The pro, who has also danced with Vick Hope, Judi Love and Kym Marsh over the years, told Zara, who signed up for the BBC programme as a complete dance novice, that she should be ‘so proud’ of herself and, reflecting on how she felt watching Graziano’s speech, Zara took to Instagram to write: “you have no idea how much your words meant to me @grazianodiprima. “you get out what you put in” has always been my motto as my dad has said it to me since I could talk…. and I believe we did our absolute best.”
She added: “We worked every second possible. I can’t stop crying every time I watch this. I love you! You are a treasure.”
Now that Zara has gone, bookies think Annabel Croft and Adam Thomas are in most danger of being eliminated next, with both on odds of 7/4 to go.
