Strictly Come Dancing’s Adam Thomas ‘screwed over’ after dance-off blow as fans raise exit fears

Strictly Come Dancing fans are claiming that Adam Thomas is being ‘set up’ for a fail on the show this weekend and could well get the ballroom boot, having ben ‘screwed over’ by his dance for Saturday night.

A real favourite with viewers at home, Waterloo Road actor Adam has seen his scores take a turn for the better over the last three weeks, with him getting the same score of 32 out of 40 for a trio of different routines. However, while Adam was ahead of a number of his rivals on the Strictly leaderboard on Halloween week, that wasn’t enough to keep him out of the dance-off, as he and pro partner Luba Mushtuk had to fight to keep their place in the competition.

Adam and Luba did win the battle of the bottom two couples, as the judges saved them in an unanimous decision over Zara McDermott and Graziano Di Prima, but now, fans are arguing that ex Emmerdale star Adam is being ‘thrown under the bus’ by producers, by being given a notoriously tricky to master rumba this week, a dance discipline that hasn’t scored to well in the BBC ballroom over the years.

After this week’s songs and dances were revealed, one fan responded: “They really want to eliminate Adam this week. And last week, they screwed him by putting him second,” with a second reacting: “Adam with the hardest type of dance after a dance off”. Taking exactly the same stance, another critic blasted: “Rumba for Adam? Uh-oh?”

In the latest Strictly elimination odds, released on Wednesday, Adam and co-star Annabel Croft were on the same odds of 7/4 to be eliminated this weekend.
