Joelinton got right into the Halloween spirit this year, as the Newcastle United star donned a scary disguise to scare his family on Tuesday night.
After a rather frustrating time in the West Midlands on Saturday night, when NUFC lost their lead twice to end up drawing 2-2 with Wolves, Eddie Howe’s side are now gearing up to take on out of form Manchester United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening. But, before then there was the small matter of Brazilian midfielder Joelinton helping his children celebrate their Halloween.
Like many Geordie children, Joelinton’s brood were well up for marking the occasion and, as they went for a trick or treating walkabout close to their home on Tuesday, Joelinton was standing sinisterly still right across the road, dressed as a scary convict, complete with a frightening mask. His other half, Thays Gondim, firstly shared a photo of Big Joe without his mask on her Instagram story, captioning it ‘naughty thief stole my heart’ before then filming him as he waited along the road for his children to pass.
As well as going all out for Halloween this week and playing a key role in Newcastle’s Premiership and Champions League campaign, Joelinton has been busy being a proud dad on the sidelines of the football pitch, as his son does the business for his Ponteland youth team, the same side that Kieran Trippier’s son plays for, with bo6th sets of parents attending every match they can get to.
Going into Wednesday night’s last 16 Carabao ties against Man United, the Magpies were at 12/5 to win and land a place in the quarter finals, at the expense of the team who beat them in last year’s final.
