The Duchess of Sussex, 41, headed out for a walk in California, for which she donned a simple activewear outfit of a vest top, leggings, and a jacket.
However, her hiking ensemble was far from ordinary as she accessorised to the nines, including two jewellery pieces that had once belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.
The pieces inherited from Diana were a £17,800 Cartier watch, and a Cartier tennis bracelet, which estimates suggest would sell for £125,000 if went on auction today.
The Duchess further accessorised with a Bentley & Skinner diamond tennis bracelet, valued at around £4,900 and thought to have been a gift from her father-in-law, the King.
She wore another two bracelets, a £3,965 tennis bracelet from Jennifer Meyer and the £5,000 Cartier Love bracelet In pictures published by the Daily Mail,
Meghan completed her rather glam hiking look with the £390 Maya Brenner x Abigail Spencer ‘The Clarity Retreat’ Necklace, which was created as part of a collection by her friend and former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.
On the Maya Brenner website the necklace, which is currently sold out, is described as a “powerful energy amplifier” and is said to help “protect your peace…so every day can be your retreat.”
The necklace may have a rather symbolic meaning to Meghan, who was said to have made the decision to miss the coronation in an attempt to “protect her peace.”
He said: “People around the Sussexes guided press at the time that this is very much about Archie’s fourth birthday.
“I disagree with that to some extent because I also know from friends of hers that she’s protecting her peace as well. She is aware of how much the spotlight goes on her when she sets a foot near the story.”
“I think a lot of that is often portrayed as intentional or that she wants to steal the spotlight But in this case should she have simply come over and stood next to her husband I would think the narrative or commentary on the day would be very different.”
