Man United 0-2 Newcastle United half-time player ratings: Lewis Hall and Miguel Almiron on song

Newcastle United are in full control at Old Trafford despite naming a much-changed team and being hit with an early injury blow for Matt Targett.

Targett went off after just 90 seconds but Newcastle reorganised, recomposed themselves and responded in superb style. First, Tino Livramento slipped in Miguel Almiron to open the scoring.

And then Lewis Hall cracked home a wonder goal at the Stretford End to double Newcastle’s money.
