Love Island’s Tom Clare makes ‘tough decision’ to quit day job after finding fame

Tom Clare has announced that he is stepping down from Macclesfield FC, as he moves to London to embark on new opportunities.

The semi-professional footballer, 23, shot to fame on this year’s Love Island, where he finished in third place with now ex-girlfriend Samie Elishi.

And although the pair proved popular with fans, they struggled to make their relationship work outside the villa, with Tom announcing their split just a few weeks ago on his Instagram Story.

He’s now taken to Instagram to share some more news, revealing that he has quite his role at Macclesfield FC, and will be moving to London.
