Frankie Bridge, 34, took to her Instagram stories where – in an open and honest post – the mum-of-two told fans that she wouldn’t be winning “the parent of the year award”.
The post came after the former The Saturdays singer realised that she had “messed up” and accidentally missed her son’s cricket game.
In the clip, Frankie said: “Guess who’s not winning the parent of the year award? Me.”
She continued: “So just come to pick up Carter, I did Loose Women this morning and managed to stop and get some food, all in time to come and pick up Carter and Wayne was going to pick Parker up, Wayne’s got here and he’s not here, he had a cricket match today.”

Frankie began seeing footballer Wayne in 2011, with the pair tying the knot in 2014, with the couple sharing sons Parker, nine, and Carter, seven.
The singer explained to her followers that usually she puts all of the matches onto the family calendar so that “we both know what’s going on” and “if one of us is going to be there”.
But today Frankie missed her son’s cricket match and she admitted that she felt “f*****g awful” and “super guilty”.
She added: “Like I didn’t even know my kid was at another school. What the f**k. Now I feel super guilty so now I’ve just put all the other fixtures into my calendar.”

In an additional clip, Frankie explained to her followers that she wanted to be there so that her son could see that she’s watching and supporting him.
She said: “But I just messed up today. Which he will probably be fine about, but I’ll beat myself up about it for ages. So if I knew I couldn’t go then I would let them know so he would know not to look out for us.”
The star also added how she had just got a new blow dry and she had to walk out in the rain to get her “other child”.
After returning with wet hair, Frankie shared that her son “was crying his eyes out” and they were all “soaking wet”.
Recently, Frankie revealed how, when she was on I’m A Celebrity, she broke a “major rule” on the show.

The mum-of-two appeared on the show in 2021 while it was being filmed in Wales due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
While she was taking part in the show, the campmates were made to leave the venue due to Storm Arwen.
Frankie revealed that she had used this as an opportunity to bring more clothes in as she found the coldness in the castle a challenge.
