Jeff Brazier made return to TV screen on Thursday, having landed a key role on This Morning, weeks after being spotted in tears in the Strictly Come Dancing crowd, having watched son Bobby perform.
Having initially shot to fame on much loved T4 show Shipwrecked, Jeff has been a regular on TV for the last two decades, regularly fronting competition segments for ITV shows and hosting the likes of Sunday Scoop and jungle spin-off I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Pit of Here NOW!
He hasn’t been the only Brazier to grab the television spotlight of late though, as, as well as being in the cast of EastEnders and winning a National Television Award, eldest son Bobby, Jeff’s first child with late reality star Jade Goody, has been earning himself legions of fans, thanks to his stint on Strictly, with the 20-year-old still one of the favourites to win the show. Dad Jeff sat proudly in the audience to watch Bobby’s first performance alongside his pro partner Dianne Buswell, with the camera then cutting to the 44-year-old, as he looked visibly emotional and wiped away a few tears.
On Thursday, Jeff was on hand to help other parents, as he fronted a This Morning ‘Parenting SOS’ phone-in, alongside the daytime programme’s main hosts Josie Gibson and Rylan Clark. Dilemmas which he offered advice on included a woman who said she felt like a ‘failure’ after being ‘disrespected’ by her 11-year-old son and a mum concerned about her six-year-old’s ‘restrictive eating.’
At the end of the calls, Rylan told Jeff: “Lovely to see you. Not all heroes wear capes obviously,” as Jeff quipped: “No, they wear green corduroy shirts!”
