Neighbourhood Heaton welcomed its first customers through the doors on Bank Holiday Monday
North Shore Coffee Co. has opened the doors of its first sit-in cafe just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.
The stylish new venue called ‘Neighbourhood Heaton’ launched on Chillingham Road on Monday, May 8, and can sit around 30 customers over two floors.
It’s a milestone moment for North Shore Coffee Co. which started 10 years ago with a stall at the Quayside’s Sunday market. Owners Toby Davison and Dave Grieves saw the popularity of their business saw when they launched a coffee van during the pandemic and went on to open a site at Newcastle’s Grainger Market.
Now the pair have opened the doors to their first sit-in venue, which offers customers a range of hot and cold drinks, along with a menu of sweet treats and savory items.
Toby, 30, said it was an exciting time for the business and promised Neighbourhood Heaton customers £1 takeaway coffees all day on Tuesday, May 9, to celebrate the opening.
“We have been proper excited to open the doors,” Toby said.
“Monday is our soft opening. We opened the doors at 9am and are just playing it by ear. On Tuesday we are going to do £1 takeaway coffees all day just to get an influx of customers.
“The inside looks really good – it’s exactly how we pictured it in our heads and now it has come to life.”
Neighborhood Heaton will be serving customers seven days a week from 7.30am to 4.30pm.
