I’m A Celeb stars lament South Africa weight loss as they ‘wither away’

Tuesday’s instalment of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! South Africa will see the starving stars reflecting on the weight they’ve lost since taking part in the gruelling experience.

Former English international cricketer Phil Tufnell – who was originally crowned ‘King of the Jungle’ back in 2003 – is seen telling his co-stars that he’s already noticed physical changes since venturing into the African planes.

“I can really feel my pelvis,” he tells the camp. “It’s really poking out!I’m like a toast rack.”

Paul Burrell – former servant of the British Royal Household and Princess Diana’s butler, who came runner-up on the show in 2004 before appearing on the Australian version 14 years later – agrees that he’d shed some pounds during his time on the show.

“I bet I’m the one who’s lost the most weight,” he tells his campmates. “I think Dean’s put weight on! Nobody puts weight on coming in the jungle.”

In the Bush Telegraph later in the show, former EastEnders star Dean Gaffney – who first entered the jungle in 2006 – concurs: ” Everyone’s slowly wilting away, apart from me…”.

The star’s unexpected weight gan has come thanks to three days of picnics, won when the camp was split into two teams and forced to compete against each other.

In sneak peak pics from tonight’s episode, a dainty-looking Myleen Klass is seen flaunting her physique in a white bikini.

Conversation then turns to personal hygiene, with the stars revealing some of the grossest habits they’ve picked up whilst on safari.

Discussing the trial of dental cleanliness in South Africa, EastEnders star and former Extra Camp host Joe Swash teases: “It’s like brushing your teeth with baby lotion, or face cream. It’s disgusting… it made me gag. It made me wretch.

“It’s like doing a Trial every morning brushing your teeth!”

Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan also considers her washing routine saying: “I’ve not washed my face for two weeks, I’ve never seen so many blackheads on my nose!”

The former soapstar – who recently broke her since on her split from ex fiance Scott Sinclair in an exclusive OK! interview – admitted: “I feel so grubby!”

Asking for help squeezing her blackheads, musician Myleene dons a pair of surgical gloves, telling campmate Helen, “I am no dermatologist but I’ll give anything a go,” whilst mathematician Carol Vorderman watches on, saying: “It’s quite satisfying.”
