Eurovision semi-final 2 live: 16 more countries take to the stage ahead of final

With just two days left to go until the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest, host city Liverpool is set to bring the glitz and glamour to the world for a second time tonight, as the city hosts the second semi-final.

Fans at home have already been treated to one semi-final earlier this week, which saw 16 performers battle it out for one of ten spaces in the final on Tuesday.

Thursday’s second live semi-final will also follow a similar format, with 16 more countries, including Poland, Australia, Iceland, Austria and Greece all taking to the stage in the hopes of securing one of coveted 10 remaining places in the final.

Alesha Dixon, Hannah Waddingham and Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina will return as hosts after helping to kick off the contest earlier this week.

The hosting team even hinted at a potential appearance from a Hollywood star as they concluded Tuesday’s show, with fans already beginning to speculate about which A-list name may be making an appearance.

As the show kicks off at 8pm on BBC One, OK! will be with you every step of the way as we live blog the final hurdle before Saturday’s must see Eurovision final.
