Eurovision 2023 semi final qualifiers and results as 11 countries axed from Contest

We now know the identity of all the countries who will compete in the Eurovision Song Contest final, after 10 countries qualified from both semi finals, with 11 acts crashing out of the competition.

Liverpool was chosen as host city back in the autumn and this week, delegations from 37 countries have descended on Merseyside, as well as Eurovision fans from all over the world. This year’s event officially got going with Tuesday’s first semi final, with the big favourites Sweden and Finland making it through as predicted.

Unfortunately Tuesday night was the end of the road for five countries, including Ireland, as the nation with the proud Eurovision history failed to make the final once again.
