The 28 year old posted a paid advert video, in collaboration with Primark, where her adorable son tried on a selection of cute outfits.
Lucy was seen laying the outfits on the floor to show them off before putting them on Sonny and giving him a big cuddle.
However, as Sonny was laid down modelling the outfits, their little dog Sushi came over to have a nosey at what was going on which led some followers to hit out at the soap stars parenting.
One follower commented: ‘I don’t get ppl letting dogs lick their babies. Everyone is like “don’t kiss my baby” and you’re out here letting dogs lick them? How is that not worse???”, before commenting again: “It’s just the thought of the dog licking it’s bits and then licking my newborns face for me”.
Another follower responded and said: “my dogs both kissed my little girl as soon as she came home 2 days old. She’s 1 now and is fine.”
New mum Lucy also responded and urged them to watch the video again, she said: “She actually didn’t even touch him though did she :/? If you just watch again”.
A fellow mum wrote a supportive message to Lucy: “He will have an amazing relationship with your dog. My little Yorkie loves my 9-month-old grandson and they have a lovely friendship. It’s so lovely to watch.”
The cute video follows after the Corrie star recently opened up about her struggles with anxiety since giving birth.
Lucy posted a selfie wearing a white T-shirt with her blonde hair tied up as she cradled her adorable baby and captioned the snap: “Mental health week.
“There is nothing in the world that can prepare you. From giving birth, the aftermath and then having this teeny tiny lil human bean to take care of.”
Lucy went on to explain how she has struggled with anxiety since giving birth in January.
She said: “The thing I’ve struggled with the most is the anxiety that comes with being a mum. I question everything I do every single day and I am honestly winging the life out of it. But we are here and we’re having a gorgeous time.”
The star finished and said: “Sending love and positive vibes, we all got this x.”
