Charlotte Crosby has declared she is ‘the happiest’ woman in the world, revealing her engagement to Jake Ankers on social media, after his stunning proposal, which was captured by TV cameras.
Charlotte and Jake have now been in a relationship for two years, with Jake quickly moving up to Sunderland to live with the Geordie Shore star, before they welcomed daughter Alba Jean into the world towards the end of last year. Their relationship was documented in the first series of Charlotte’s fly on the wall BBC programme, Charlotte in Sunderland, with Jake also set to feature in the upcoming season of Geordie Shore, after his other half returned to the MTV show that first made her famous last year.
And it looks like their engagement could feature in an upcoming run of Charlotte in Sunderland, after a crew joined the couple on a trip away, which then took a very romantic turn, when Jake got down on one knee to pop the question. The setting for the proposal was a stunning rooftop bar and, with a city skyline as his backdrop, Jake did the honours as he and Charlotte were surrounded by roses and candles.

Sharing a snapshot of the big moment with her millions of followers on Instagram, Charlotte wrote: “Happiest woman in the world. Yes yes yes and yes @jake_ankers you are my best friend you are my life.” She added: ” I CANT BELIEVE IM ENGAGED AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh. Best night ever.”
Charlotte’s Geordie Shore co-stars were quick to offer their congratulations, with fellow original cast member, James Tindale replying: “Amazing news congratulations! I’m absolutely made up for you both” and Kyle Christie, who recently got engaged to his girlfriend Vicky, writing: “Amazing news absolutely buzzing for you’s, KNEW you were gunna do it JAKE!”
