Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas has opened up about how she’s fearful to go out alone at night now, especially after what happened recently with Holly Willoughby.
A man has been accused of planning to kidnap and murder This Morning’s Holly Willoughby, and the TV presenter was pulled from her This Morning duties after police informed the show’s bosses of the alleged threat just before she was due on air.
Now Strictly star Shirley, 63, has admitted that the scare has prompted her to be “cautious” and she avoids going out on her own in the dark.
It comes just a month after the professional dancer opened up about how vile death threats from social media trolls left her scared to leave her home.

Speaking to Best magazine about how she was previously afraid to leave the house, Shirley said: “That was more last year and I’m in a better place now.
“I am still cautious, particularly with what’s just happened to Holly Willoughby, which is awful. I feel for her. I don’t go out on my own late at night.”
Holly went on to quit her role as lead presenter on This Morning after 14 years following the traumatic ordeal.

She then released a heartfelt statement for her fans in which she called it a “difficult goodbye” but said it was a decision she had to make “for me and my family.”
In recent weeks, she’s since made her social media comeback with her wellness brand, Wylde Moon, with a post about gardening and “the gravitational pull of the Moon”.
Shirley’s honesty about how she’s feeling after what happened to Holly comes just a month after she previously admitted the impact trolls were having on her day-to-day.

The Strictly Come Dancing judge shared her horrific trolling experiences with former Love Island star Olivia Attwood in her ITV documentary Olivia Attwood vs The Trolls.
She opened up about how violent and sexual messages from social media trolls left her scared to leave her home.
Shirley said: “I’ve had people draw coffins with me in it with somebody with a spade that said, ‘Die you b***h.’
“I am talking about being in public. You worry about those same strange people that write these kinds of messages. Are they lurking in dark corners? Are they hiding behind walls when you go somewhere?”

Shirley added: “Sometimes at night, I lie there and wonder, Are they suffering? Are they lonely? Is it funny to them? This whole experience has made me much more vigilant. I cannot say that I leave my front door unless I am on point. I never relax. It has changed my life completely I would say.”
Last year, Shirley revealed that she had taken time off work for the first time ever following immense trolling during the recent Strictly series.
Then earlier this year Shirley revealed that the social media abuse she had faced had left her questioning whether she would even return to Strictly.
