Were you out and about in Newcastle’s Bigg Market back in 2003?
If so, you may spot yourself in one of our photographs from back in the day. We used to have a feature dedicated to it printed in the Chronicle every Friday between 1992 and 2012 – featuring photographs of some of people one a night out in the Toon.
If you can remember that far back, you’ll know that 2003 was the year that The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Finding Nemo, and The Matrix Reloaded were all released at the cinema. In the sporting world, tennis players Roger Federer and Andy Roddick won their first Grand Slams in the same year.
It was also the year that social networking site Myspace was launched and Girls Aloud hit the charts with Sound of the Underground.
